Actually, I believe that Protune(PROvisional TrUst Negotiation) will play a role in the security framework that will be necessary to negotiate access to shared data. I believe Prolog by itself will play a role in the semantic web, as will other AI languages. The following article gives one example of how Prolog can work with XML and RDF.
