Is Photoshop a good program for making flyers?
Is it quicker than making flyers in other programs, or at least is it high quality?

Photoshop is a professional level program that will yield high quality results when used properly, but its main functions lie in image manipulation. The most effective way to make a professional flyer is to use PhotoShop in conjunction with a typesetting design program like InDesign.
Go ahead and use PhotoShop to color correct, remove blemishes, and manipulate your image to look how you would like it. After you have the image ready, import it into InDesign, where you can now see a layout of an actual page size, position the image as desired, and then use InDesign to manipulate text with ease. If you only have a few words to add to your flyer, PhotoShop will suffice, but if you have more than a few lines of information, InDesign will allow formatting of text in a professional manner, though you will still be able to rotate text, type on a line, and all of the other cool tricks you’d hope to get from PhotoShop, but with much greater precision.
