Is Paul really psychic? If not, what are the odds that he would pick the winners of those World Cup matches?
If he's not psychic, how would he know who would win? Does he follow the teams and players on TV? Just how smart is the average octopus anyway? Are they too sentient to eat? He seems to be orange. Is he a Dutch fan?

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

A psychic octopus is simply ridiculous.
He simply watches a lot of games, and has a great footballing brain.
I tip him as a future England manager.

Looks like he's just caused pandemonium in Germany . . . he's backed Spain to win later on this evening!

Yes, that octopus is very smart. I believe it is to soccer what Stephen Hawking is to physics. Although it can only communicate in a very crude way, it knows its stuff.. :)
Perhaps instead of being England manager, it can be the Lucasian Professor of Football.
He was right again, Spain won.
