Is my computer battery fixable?
It's a 9-cell battery for a sony vaio vgn cr 4000. It worked wonderfully, until it didn't work at all... It went from being able to handle 5-6 hour charge (on easy use) to not working at all. Period. Not a 10 minute charge, not anything. I used a battery from a similar laptop, and my computer recognizes it. So it isn't a problem with computer's battery interface... it's definitely the battery. It seems as though the connection on the battery has gone faulty or something like that. Are there battery stores that can trouble shoot this problem, or are they just going to try to sell me a $100+ 6 cell battery?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Sorry but you should buy another one because it cant be fixed or you can go to special stores that replaces it for a new one for like 3 or 4 $

How do you know it can't be fixed? Are you saying these special stores have trade-in programs? Can you give me an example of one of these programs/stores?
