Is my Chihuahua racist?

I'm not sure if 'racist' is the correct word to use. This has nothing to do with her not liking certain people.
I have found throughout the years that she hates Golden Retrievers with a passion!
She has never had a bad experience with one, and I've been her mommy from the start.

She also hates Golden Labs since they look somewhat similar... to her anyway.
In the past few years she will go out of her way to start a fight with one of these dogs.
This never happens with any other breed.

I have owned plenty of dogs and have never seen a dog hate a specific breed like this.
What would you call it?
What can I do about it?

It's hard to say. While I was growing up, we had a Dachshund named Shatzee. She was very gentle and great with kids (she once decided to jump in a stranger's car and lived with their kids for a month until they saw our fliers looking for her)

But boy, she did not like red-heads. The mere sight of anyone with red hair sent her into a tizzy. No idea why.

I found the following quote from this website
QUOTE ----
This breed is territorial, believing deeply in the pecking order, and will bully each other to establish their place in the order of dominance in their family group. Normally these issues resolve themselves, but if you find two of your pets are Alpha males/females, you'll likely have to resign yourself to keeping them separated.
QUOTE ----

Perhaps she is just a bit confused on which breed of Alpha females she needs to "take care of".

Since dogs can only see in black and white, but can see a range of shades, the "golden" in the retriever and even the lab may be a shade he does not like. I've heard of some dogs overreacting to humans who are either very very pale skinned or very very dark.

Dogs can see colors. They see fewer than we do: a dog rainbow would be dark blue, light blue, gray, light yellow, darker yellow (sort of brown), and very dark gray.

I think he's just trying to prove his dogmanship! He's a little guy, with a big attitude! Maybe this breed he loaths so much have a particular scent, that only he can pick-up on! Dogs are pretty percetive to things, and maybe he knows something we don't! Or it could be, just like we humans, hate at first sight:)

The better term would be "breedist". She probably hates Golden Retrievers and Golden Labs because they are two of the sweetest, nicest, and best breeds of dogs, the very antithesis of the ghastly, yappy, monsters that are Chihuahuas. Nasty little people with small brains and large mouths are often racist, so it makes sense that nasty little dogs with small brains and large mouths would be breedist. I suggest you send the chihuahua to the pound and adopt a Retriever or Lab.

I thought of using that word in my question... but then I thought that people would think it's a typo. Maybe eventually 'breedist' will be used in these situations.

Since you are a chihuahua hater, would you be referred to as a 'breedist' or just anti-squirrel and rat? ;)

I tend to like rats. And I do say nice things about Chihuahuas when questions about banning Pit Bulls etc come up. But I am a Patriot, dedicated to thwarting Tufty and all his minions! Some have invaded my attic... I'm biding my time.....
