Is music getting worse these days?

Or is it just nostalgia speaking?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I don;t think music is getting worse. At least now the heavy metal and metalica is not a trend anymore. I also hate house music, which was a trend, with passion. I like some contemporary music such as the new category, adult alternative. Some people think Lady Gaga is bad, especially older people, but I dont think she's worse than some of the singers from the eighties. It's just a matter of taste and taste changes over the years.

The answer to this would depend on your taste in music. As with all generations the music changes and the older people don't get it. I don't think todays music has music just electronics.

I'm not sure that I think it's getting worse. I think that it has become extremely repetitive. Rarely do I hear a song and thing about the lyrics, feeling the artist's or the writer's emotion. It seems as though the music you hear on the radio today was only produced to make money, not to be expressive. It's sad really. I miss when music meant something.
