Is looking for a sewing class to attend....any suggestions?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Check out your latest sewing or craft related shop. Maybe a quilt shop, fabric store, or a place like Michaels. See if they have any lessons posted. If they don't, ask someone who works there if they know anything. Also check for this if you ever attend an arts and crafts show.
You could also try searcing Kijiji with the terms "sewing class" + (your area) and see if anything comes up.
If that fails, look up what you want to learn on youtube. They have plenty of great resources!

Check your local sewing machine dealer. Shops that sell machines usually offer a wide array of classes. For most classes you are expected to bring your own sewing machine.

Sewing machine shops periodically offer brand specific demo classes. You use a brand new, top of the line machine to make a simple project. You get a finished project and the opportunity to purchase a gently used machine at a discount.

Check your community adult school and junior colleges as well. Most offer sewing courses for a nominal fee.

This is a really great online sewing class: Read this guide to how to choose the best sewing machine: http://onlinesewingclass.net/.

You can also try your local fabric store. They usually offer inexpensive classes every months.
