I researched this and did not find a truly definitive answer, but I did find this warning:

I found some info on 'hoodia gordonii' cactus plant on http://www.dietpills123.co.uk/hoodiagordonii.php - it seems quite an interesting herbal supplement noted with 'no known side effects'. But as stated above, I'd consult with a practioner
