Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

Overall, yes. If you are considering liposuction, please ask yourself why. If it is to please someone else, or look like someone else, then I'd advise against it.
Liposuction is surgery, and all surgery has risk. One of the major risk for liposuction is infection.
Research the doctor, and check references. Do not expect miracles. Liposuction cannot make a fat person skinny, it is best used to remove smaller amounts of fat.
There are different techniques used in liposuction; ask your doctor to explain which way he/she does it, and why.
Personally, I would try diet and exercise first and liposuction last.

It is very safe as long as a check up was made before the procedure and the patient will do what the doctor ha prescribed/advised after the surgery.

Hello @hillston_heights!

Like any other medical procedure, liposuction has its own risks but compared to many surgical operations, it is relatively safe. But it is a known fact that in every ten thousand people who undergo liposuction die from the operation. Although the number is not that high, it is clear that there are dangers associated with it.

Liposuction has its own risk like excessive bleeding, perforation of a major organ, discoloration of the skin, damage to nerves, blood clots, sagging, puckered or scarred skin. This is for cosmetic purposes so it would be best to consider lifestyle change first and focus on eating healthy and do some regular exercise

Most of the death cases that happen while undergoing liposuction is when too much fat is taken from the body at one time. Since fat holds lots of water so removing too much of it can leave the body dehydrated. Aside from this the body will experience too much stress and having large amounts of body fat sucked out can cause seizure of heart, blood clot or shock.

Every surgery is risky. The good news though is that there are procedures that are less invasive. You can check out what these are and address your concerns with a certified surgeon. To ensure your safety, always go to a trusted expert.
