Is Juviderm the same thing as Botox?
If one wants to get this dramatic facial treatment, what should she choose? Is there a difference between Juviderm and Botox?

Juvederm isn’t the same thing as Botox. Juvederm is a jell-like chemical that is injected into lines and wrinkles to fill them out. It temporarily makes lines and wrinkles look less noticeable. It fills up the skin in places where it’s stretched out too far due to sun exposure and aging.

Botox is a derivative of the botulism bacterium. It is injected into the muscles just under the skin. Botox weakens the muscles, moving the skin over them. Moving the skin results in a relaxation of the lines and wrinkles in it.

Which treatment you choose really depends on which chemical you feel the most comfortable with having under your skin. Both have been proven to be effective.
