As much as I L-O-V-E to watch pugs eat anything like people - apples, bagels, corn, etc., NO, you should not feed your puggy corn.

Pugs (and all dogs) aren't designed to digest corn - they're meat eaters. They don't digest it well, and it can cause bloating, and possibly even digestive obstructions (eww).

However, since I know that sweet pug eyes can be hard to resist, this pug mommy says that I probably might let him have some nibbles just one or two times - just be sure not to make a habit of it. Odds are he/she will be ok just this once.

Give him/her a good scratch for me, and tell him/her I say *snort*.

Corn on the cob is not recommended for dogs. It can cause intestinal obstruction, a very serious and potentially fatal medical condition. It is also a huge allergen with dogs. It used to be put in lots of dog foods and has been removed from nearly all of the healthier foods because of the allergy factor.

Corn is not recommended for dogs. A lot of dogs are actually allergic to corn - I've heard it's common in American Pit Bull Terriers.

Oddly enough, a lot of commercial dog foods have a ton of corn in them. Doesn't mean it's OK. Some actually have peanut hulls and sawdust too.

We let our basset hound eat corn on the cob a few years ago. He puked a big pile of creamed corn on our bedspread.
No kidding. It was a horrible evening. Of course, our adorable pouch ate the entire ear of corn, cob and all. He really likes corn on the cob, but he doesn't get it anymore.
