It is hard to find specific statistics, but from a police report of illegal steroid traffic in Sweden, it seems that Thailand is among the top countries from which doping (anabolic) steroids originate. The other countries include: the eastern European countries of Russia, Poland, Bulgaria and Romania, Egypt and Turkey.
In the United States, a significant source of illegal anabolic steroids is Mexico. In a recent operation, there was an operation by the DEA against the eight largest steroid manufacturing firms in the world, which were all located in Mexico. Apparently they buy the raw powder from China and make a finished product for retail sale. This makes me think that China is an underlying source for many suppliers, a source that is not accounted for in the first report.
