Is it true that sometimes the cheaper wines are better than the more expensive ones which might be more processed?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Better wine is in the taste of the beholder, so to speak. But there are millions of wine consumers who would absolutely say there are cheaper wines that are better than more expensive ones. And many wine aficionados will agree. To get reliable, up to date info, start regularly reading wine magazines such as:

www.WineSpectator.com

www.FoodAndWine.com

www.qrw.com

And, if you want to make some comparisons for yourself, I suggest comparing Charles Shaw wines (affectionately known as Two-Buck-Chuck because it only costs $2 per bottle) to any $10 to $15 dollar bottle of wine and decide for yourself.
