M$There's probably a sub-category of people who through their experiences have concluded something like: "It's a dog-eat-dog world, you can't trust anyone, play or get played."
Politicians are much the same as anyone else as individuals, but I guess the political culture can have an impact. If you're in an environment that is cynical, that's likely to bring out that side of you, which in turn perpetuates that culture.

M$Did you read the article, or are you making a generalization. In a general scenario I agree with you. When I see a particular behavior from people that have burned me in the past, I usually am very cautious, and will steer as far from them as humanly possible.
But I think Huckabee is being snarky and creating a history of covering his tracks. That's not good when it comes to politics.
