Is it safe to microwave Marshmallow Peeps?

Depends on how you define "safe"... As with anything, too much of a good thing can be dangerous.
If you put the Peeps in for too long, the sugar will super-heat and, if you consume it then, you will do SERIOUS damage to yourself. This is a problem when people microwave jelly-filled donuts. The sugar inside can super-heat, you don't feel it because of the dough on the outside, and then you find yourself in the hospital with major esophageal burns.
Now... with that said... microwaving them for a little bit warms them up nicely to a nice, gooey consistency which increases the joy in your mouth. It's even entertaining to watch them blow up a little bit...
