Is it safe for an American to travel to Israel?
Is it possible for an American to be the target of a terrorist attack in Israel? Are there any safe spots for tourists in Israel? How could a tourist get in touch with their embassy in Israel?

It is just as safe to travel in Israel as it is in the USA. Just as you would take precautionary measures when travelling in the USA or any European countries, so you would travelling to Israel. As for terrorist attacks, although Israel does everything in its power to secure its citizens, you might feel more comfortable in the bigger cities such as Tel Aviv. Unfortunately, nowadays no country is 100% terror-proof. For a first time visitor, I would recommend joining a guided tour to visit the more remote parts, which are beautiful. To get in touch with your embassy simply search for your embassy name in Israel using a search engine. You will find their website with a phone number and address. You can call them up when you arrive in Israel.
