I think it is possible because it has been reported that Land Rover achieved 60 mpg, 2 tonne CO2 per 5,000 miles running on biodiesel-electric hybrid.
Land Rover is said to debut a new version of the LRX concept car that will run up to 60 miles per gallon with love emission ratings of 1 tonne of CO2 per five thousand mile.
This electric-diesel hybrid is in the concept stage but it is expected to push through for a new Land Rover model.
This was revealed during the Detroit International Auto Show which hosted a wide variety of concept cars that are related to biofuels.
Among those that debuted on the is Chrysler with its diesel-electric Jeep Renegade that can travel 40 miles on its lithium battery before switching to cleantech diesel engine.
