Having a habit to take a short nap during the day is very good and beneficial for your health, certainly! Your body gets some rest in the day and it gives you energy and vigor to finish the day with maximum effectiveness (talking about a work day). But naps should not be in any way considered as a real substitution for the regular night sleep. No, this will not work, as your body definitely needs a good eight hour night sleep every twenty four hour period. If you lose sleep hours during the week you can’t catch up by sleeping extra long on week-ends either. As those lost hours were designed to be taken on that very night to give you the necessary energy for the day ahead.
