I'm going to give you a big "it depends" here. Sometimes drug crimes especially when younger can be over looked when applying, but this usually is for not repeat offenses. If you commited a felony then I would rule out law enforcement as a career choice. And state police departments tend to be more strict on who they hire than local or county departments. So like I said it depends on a lot of different factors but if you don't have a lot of repeat offenses and they are relatively not serious then somewhere there is a place for you in law enforcement. It is possible. It can depend on what crime(s) you've been charged with or convicted of. It can depend on the department you are trying to get hired by. It can depend on how much time has passed since you've committed a crime. It can depend on how good a candidate you are otherwise. Getting police officer jobs can be very competitive. All else being equal, an applicant without a criminal record would probably be hired before you.
