Is it legal to have cadavers in the hallway of a public building? Medical school or not?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Hi Kelly,
I know you Tweeted this question eons ago, but I wanted to offer an answer.
I first looked under cadaver laws of Wisconsin since that's where you're from, but couldn't find anything other than some obscure findings on the sale of cadavers, or the laws of buying cadavers.
I think you would run into trouble if you had a cadaver that was just on a gurney and only covered with a sheet. Ew.
I have a friend that is a curator and Egyptologist. She is responsible for displaying three mummies around the university she works for. There have been times when she has displayed these mummies in the hall way (mummies are by definition a cadaver) but they were under glass.
My guess would be that the only way it would be legal to do this would be to present them officially in an exhibit, or have them under glass.
Again... I'm sorry for the late answer!
