I definitely think texting should be illegal. In my experieince it takes more concentration and is more distracting that talking on the phone, especially a hands free phone. Reading a text while driving (or reading anything for that matter) makes driving safely difficult. I think hands free should be legal. As for hand held cell phones, I would be for it if there were a way to enforce the length of the call to only a few minutes. Long enough to let someone know you are almost there, are about to be late, get directions, call for emergency help or report a crime. I oppose calls longer than 3-4 minutes but am not sure how to enforce it.
