Is it free to get online with my Android?
Is there a charge for hooking up to the Internet from my Android? Does Android have a satellite connection like iPhone?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Hey kramer
It depends on your wireless carrier and your service plan. Most carriers force (or strongly urge) you to buy a data plan when you buy an Android. If that data plan is unlimited, it will not cost you to get online. A very cool thing is if you have a phone that has the ability to be a wifi hotspot (like the HTC Evo or the Samsung Epic) and data service that allows it, you can use your phone like a wireless router and get online with up to 8 wireless devices.
My family has surfed the net in the car going down the road when using my HTC Evo as a wifi hotspot. Very handy! It’s actually one of the best things about the Android phones right now. The iphone will let you tether with a third party app, but then you’re stuck using ATT’s network, which is as sluggish as a 94 year old librarian (no offense to librarians).
