Is it dangerous to feed a horse too many apples?
I seen my neighbor's kid feeding his horse several apples the other day. I have heard that many people feed their horses on occasion an apple or a carrot. However, I am afraid he might be feeding the horse too many and his parents are not aware.
How often should a horse have an apple? Is it safe to feed them more than one at a time?

Apples should be given as an occasional treat. Horses can get terrible stomach pains (indigestion and gas) that can last a couple of days if they eat too many apples. Also the apples should be cut into pieces because horses can choke on them. I feed my neighbor's horse a couple of apples a week and the horse doesnt have any problems
