Just having the curiosity to ask this question says that further investigation of your drinking behaviors and family history is warranted.
The NIAAA has recently changed what the definition of binge drinking is.
If you would like to see others in recovery and ask them what their definition of binge drinking is please visit an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting and ask any of the long time members, they will be easy to spot with their hands up or speaking in front of the group.. They all will have different stories but they all will end the same.

M$How much do you normally drink? Will three drinks get you so blitzed you pee on the neighbor's lawn then fall asleep in it face down? If that's the case, then I would consider that binge drinking.

"Binge drinking used to mean drinking heavily over several days. Now, however, the term refers to the heavy consumption of alcohol over a short period of time (just as binge eating means a specific period of uncontrolled overeating).
Today the generally accepted definition of binge drinking in the United States is the consumption of five or more drinks in a row by men — or four or more drinks in a row by women — at least once in the previous 2 weeks. Heavy binge drinking includes three or more such episodes in 2 weeks."

M$However, I remember a pamphlet handed out at my highschool that said females could have 9 drinks a weeks, with no more than 2 on any given day (so 2 two day a week and just 1 on the other 5 days), an males could have 14, with no more than 2 a day (so 2 every day). More than this was considered binge drinking, whether it was 3 in a day for anyone, or if a female had more than one drink more than twice a week. I believe that was published by the canadian gov't so according to them, you'd be an alcoholic!
