Is it better to smoke made in China cigarettes?

Everyone knows that smoking is harmful to your health, it says it right there on the box of cigarette. The smoke leaves that's grown in the United States probably have tons of pesticide on them but, does anyone know if China produces it's cigarettes differently? Does it contain the same harmful substances like the United States?

I have no knowledge of the tobacco growing process in China. I would assume they use pesticides just the same as most any other commercial farmer who wishes to maximize crop yield. That being said, as a smoker myself, pesticides are the least of your worries as regards the potential negative health effects of smoking. If crops grown with pesticides worry you, then you should probably cut out all super market bought fruits and vegetables from your diet. You also should throw out most of your wardrobe and replace with synthetic fibers.

BTW, more than 1/5 of Japan are smokers. They are among the highest in life expectancy and among the lowest in smoking related vs non smoking lung cancer ratios of the worlds most developed countries. Whereas an American smoker is around 300 percent more likely than a non-smoker to contract lung cancer.

Not all evils are themselves the catalyst of evil.

Without getting into any conspiracy theory, I just wonder where they get all these stats for smoke related cancer. I've heard stories of people that smoked all their life without any issues and some never smoked a single cigarette in their life developing lung cancer. You're right about the pesticide, that should be the least of my worries.
