is it a good time to get Microsoft stocks now?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Please take a look at a long term chart.

MS has done nothing but move sideways or down since December of 1999.

It will likely get a rally when the market turns around. If you are looking for an intermediate term trade, it might be OK. If you are looking for an investment, leave it alone.

Hi, I suggest you wait. Though they are low now, they are probably going to get lower even more.

However: take note. They are going to increase eventually, coz there is Windows Mobile 6.5 to be launched Summer 2009 and Windows 7 next year along with Office 14. So maybe you should buy them now and sell them then - they are predicted to sell a lot.

It might very well be. The stock is low because of low demand. A new operating system is coming out and that usually means increased sales. It might be a little early.

If you plan on holding them for a while, then yes, I believe it's a good time to buy.
Prices are lower than they would be, and eventually, they'll rise, especially with Windows 7 in the somewhat near future. Especially since Microsoft has a low risk of going bankrupt.

However, I'm by no means an expert, so my advice isn't infallible, and there's always a risk when investing.
