Is HTML5 better than Flash
Will HTML5 video provide the same features as Flash? Will Flash come out with new features to trump HTML5? Will there be confusion on the web because of support for either standard?

The big difference is that HTML5 is natively supported. You don't need to download special software to use HTML5, you just need to have the latest incarnation of your browser. Native HTML5 support effectively renders Flash surplus to requirements - but Flash will still have a place for a few more years.
Performance-wise, the two are much of a muchness, there is no clear performance winner but Flash is considered to be more of a resource hog.

I mean that the browser supports HTML5 - you don't need to download any programs to run it.
With Flash you need Flash player to play any Flash.
