Generally it is worth the money to have a painter come out and do the work. They have the skill and the tools which save you time and frustration.
It is more expensive to paint the outside of a house. The exterior paint is more expensive than interior paint and the area getting painted is bigger.
The plus side it there are so many contractors who really need the work right now so you should be able to get a really good deal on the labor which is about 75% the price of the job.
