Is freedom within the grasp of all humans?

Freedom is only within the grasp of all humans to the extent that the motto of the state of New Hampshire describes it: "Live Free or Die".
There are many places in the world where certain unfortunates can choose to be a slave or choose to die, and that is their only freedom. A United Nations report on human trafficking issued in February 2009 indicates the prevalence of slavery in our modern day world.

The UN estimates that 12-27 million individuals are being held in slavery, "more than any time in world history"

Most of the slavery in existence today is young women or children for purposes of sexual exploitation, clearly indicating that outside of death, there is little these people can do to grasp freedom.
There are degrees of freedom, even among those who are not totally enslaved. It is not uncommon for those in power in to refuse to offer free elections or freedom of press or religion. In many places where oppressive ruling powers exist, there is little or no chance for the population to attempt rise up and grasp freedom without being slaughtered.
Rising up and dying, even by the hundreds of thousands, as in Rwanda and Sudan, is no guarantee that anyone in your nation will one day grasp any other freedom than the freedom of the grave.
Morgan Freeman says in the interview below, "you can't be a slave unless you're a party to it", and he quotes the New Hampshire state motto. So in the sense that all humans can grasp the freedom of the grave, they can choose to die rather than being enslaved, then yes, all humans can grasp freedom. Not all humans, however can choose to LIVE in freedom.
