Is facebook addicting?
Should I worry about my children using facebook too much? What sort of social problems does facebook cause with children and adults?

Hello :)
Yes, Facebook can be very addictive! Facebook can, in fact, be so overwhelmingly addictive that some people would be willing to spend most of their days online, to the exclusion of all else. But this doesn’t mean that you should worry too much about your kids. If they have friends, if they go out regularly, hang out and, in short, have a life outside of Facebook, then everything’s okay. But if they are spending all their day in front of the PC, then maybe you should be worried.
Addiction to Facebook is like any other, regular addiction. Spending all day inside, in front of the PC is not healthy at all. People lose touch with reality and forget the fact that the real world is outside, and not on the computer. Real life social and relationship building skills may be harmed too. There is an adverse impact on grades as well. Some people even need rehab!
So how much time should they be spending in front of the computer? Well, I always resented any limits on internet time, and I did, occasionally, lash out at my parents if they tried to intrude. So maybe you should give them a little freedom, and try explaining to them why they should go outside! Anything over 3 hours spent online everyday may be too much.
Here are some links that will help you gauge the extent of your problem, if you really have one, that is:
