Is Dinner for Schmucks worth seeing opening weekend?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Additionally, you are getting in touch with your favorite stars (Steve Carell, Zach Galifianakis). May be you have watched earlier original French comedy “The Dinner Game, OR Le dîner de Cons.” - Then you may get the chance to compare these two films.

• “Dinner for Schmucks” has a few of the hard laughs that you long for, but it also inspires sustained giggles that build and ebb. There’s a surprising sweetness to the film that rarely crosses the line into sentimentality – just enough so that you can laugh and still feel the film’s heart without feeling manipulated."
• "Though Carell and Rudd are both saddled with characters that just aren't as interesting as many they've played in the past, the movie benefits from having drawn many gifted comedians to supporting roles."
• Reviews for Dinner for Schmucks began coming out in the days leading up to the movie's release in U.S. theaters on July 30, 2010. Overall, reviews for the movie were MIXED.

M$Francis Veber, the writer of The Dinner Game also wrote La Cage Aux Folles (The Birdcage) and The Valet.
As a huge fan of Francis Veber movies I'm really excited for it. And hey, the Birdcage another remake of his movies was great so I'm optimistic.

M$It is filled with lots of surprises and good laughs to and based on the other movies coming out this weekend id say its defiantly worth it.
But sadly i highly doubt that it will beat the hangover that movie was very good.

M$As it happens, I created the Mahalo page for ''Dinner for Scmucks''. It was handed to me to create in less than an hour, and I went for it. I hadn't ever heard of any of the actors or the writer or anything. I thought it would be a crass irreverent bag of jokes like ''An American Wedding''. The more research I did, the more I realized this would be more like ''Liar Liar'': ironic.

M$Movies are expensive, theaters are crowded, sometimes smelly, sometimes loud (ask me about the baby in front of me for The Hulk, both smelly and loud!) and really the best reason to see something on the big screen is for the visual appeal of the gigantic screen.
Unless a movie has spectacular visuals wait untill you can see it at home with a few friends, chances are you will love it just as much on the small screen.

M$I disagree. A good comedy at the theater is great. I love the feel of having a couple hundred people breaking out in laughter at once. But then again I'm biased because going to the movies is one of my favorite things to do.
Ahh, I am just as happy giggling to my self, but I can totally see it from that standpoint if you like the energy of the people around you. ^_^
