Is Coffee Good for your health?

diabetes, heart disease, alzheimers, etc. Many sources report that Coffee can be good for you. I've even heard that Coffee may emerge as a powerful antioxidant.

I have read that drinking coffee is good for your health. The health benefits of coffee are numerous. Coffee helps to speed up the heart rate which burns calories. Coffee contains antioxidants, which helps protect us from free radicals and also lessens the risk of colon cancer. It also contains caffeine, thiamin, ethyl phenol, and hypoxanthine among other things. It protects against diabetes and heart disease, as well. Coffee has a definite effect on our digestive system and improves our metabolism, too. Of course, with all things, moderation is the key to good health.

There is no doubt that coffee is good for your health. Drink two to four cups of coffee per day and you can be the recipient of a positive effect on your digestive system and metabolism. It is a also a significant source of antioxidants. It is known that an adequate amount of antioxidants in the diet can protect us from cancer and various heart diseases.

So, without any doubt we can say that coffee is good for our health. Just use moderation with this and all other drinks. Too much can be harmful.

How would you like a drug which could lower your risk of Parkinson’s disease, diabetes, as well as colon cancer? A substance which could lift your mood and relieve headaches? A drug that could lower your risk of getting cavities? Coffee appears to be that substance.

Some studies have shown that coffee may reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes. After analyzing data on 120,000 people over an 18 year period, researchers a Harvard have concluded that drinking 1 to 3 cups of caffeinated coffee each day can reduce diabetes risk by several percentage point, compared with not drinking coffee at all.

Is it the caffeine that is responsible for those benefits? Is it the antioxidants in coffee beans, or which become especially potent during the roasting process?

Studies indicated that it is both of these factore.

According to Dr. DePaulis “the evidence is very strong that regular coffee consumption reduces the risk for Parkinson’s disease and that in the case of Parkinson’s disease the benefits are directly related to caffeine.”

That's a good answer to the general question that coffee _may_ be good for your health, but I think I looking for a more definitive answer based on balanced research into the current literature.
