Is coca cola addictive or un healthy in any way?
I have heard several rumors about how coca cola is actually a very addictive beverage, and it is highly un healthy for you and your body. Is there any truth behind this? Is a coca cola as addictive and harmful as a popular drug, or is it a totally different un healthy or addiction all together? Please explain and give resources if possible!

Coca Cola does contain caffeine which studies have proven can be as addictive as any other drug. If caffeine is taken consistently, people have experienced the same withdrawals as if they were addicted to a more hardcore drug. I doubt Coke has enough caffeine to make a person addicted but if taken in large quantities on a consistent basis it could possibly happen.
Otherwise other negative health effects include rotting away of teeth, however, contrary to what many people believe it affects your teeth the same amount as a natural acidic fruit drink. Also it's made with high fructose corn syrup which has been linked with obesity and diabetes. So I guess in the long run if you drink Coke a LOT then there's a possibility for some nasty results. Hope this helps.
