Chicago is a very fun place for a lot of different kinds of people. Many people come from around the world to attend colleges and universities in Chicago, for many different reasons. Chicago has a great deal of activities which are free or very low cost. During the summer Chicago hosts a great many neighborhood festivals and fairs. Chicago in general is not the cheapest place in the world to live, so depending on your personal taste Chicago can be very expensive. If you are a frugal and have relaxed taste that Chicago can be an inexpensive place to live. Many colleges and Universities will have a lot of fun free activities. The level of fun you will have at a University has more to do with the specific culture of the school. Schools like ITT will be more serious and less fun than a school like Northwestern. Obviously the academic levels for both schools are high, but the culture of the two schools are completely different.
