According to the American Heart Association, they found not scientific evidence to demonstrate any benefit from this form of therapy.
Chelation is a treatment for heavy metal poisoning. This is not however approved by the FDA to treat coronary artery disease but some doctors and alternative medicine practitioners use it for this purpose.
Currently there is no adequate, controlled, published scientific studies that are approved to support this therapy for cardiovascular disease. The United States FDA and the National Institutes of Health as well as the American Colllege of Cardiology all agree with the American Heart Association regarding this matter.
