Is Bing Search engine a THREAT to Mahalo?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Absolutely not, it's not a threat to Mahalo. Mahalo prides itself on SERP, which stands for Search Engine Results Pages. Mahalo works with these other search engines, and Mahalo provides more detailed search results. They are two completely different kinds of search engines.

I honestly don't think Bing will take off.

Mahalo strives to build extremely useful and consistent SERPs (Search Engine Result Pages). Mahalo's algorithm is humans. You can't get better than that.

Bing, on the other hand, is a Microsoft search product. Anyone who has tried Microsoft's search products in the past knows of the odd results that pop up to the top. Of course, they could've fixed this, but honestly, I still don't think it's as good as humans or Google. Bing's interface also seems to change based on what you're looking for. This means that every time you search for a different type of data that you haven't searched on Bing for before, you'll need to get to know the little interface changes.

Perhaps I'm ignorant, but hey, there's a reason Microsoft has to change their search branding every couple of years…
