Is being 5'4" too short to learn how to kickbox?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I've never done kickboxing, but I do have a black belt in Shotokan karate...

I think you can be ANY size for kickboxing... You'll just have to be aware of your reach and your opponent's reach.

If you're going to try to be a professional, then, you'll most likely have some difficulties, but, I'm sure they'll try to match you with someone in your weight/height class.

If you going to do this for fun... then... use your head as well as your body! Figure out what advantages you have and use them to your... ummm... advantage.
