Is anyone else completely offended by these ridiculous badges? You can keep your cheap computer graphics. I want credit for my work!
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I don't see why the pages can't have credits just as a newspaper article does. It wouldn't cost Mahalo anything.

M$I feel bad for the many Mahalo users that heard there was to be change and up and left. They are missing out on super exciting things Mahalo has to offer. In fact, I am so excited about Mahalo, I just referred two new users. The badges are just another way to reward members. To me, it is like a bonus. We do get $M for badges. We ALSO get M$ for best answer, just like in the past. They have filled the Mahalo store with even more exciting gift cards and prizes. The gift cards come in handy for Christmas, gifts or if you really do not need it, sell it on Ebay for cash. You can easily sell a $50 gift card on Ebay for $45.
Mahalo also has the Guru team and Guides. These positions pay money. You just need to fill out an application.
I realize you are disappointed, but as I mentioned we can either embrace change and help Jason improve Mahalo, or we can leave. Hope you decide to stay!

M$Thanks for your insights, Gina. But my annoyance isn't because I dislike change. I work with the web full-time, so I am quite accustomed to the rapid pace of application development. Rather, I am upset that I am not CREDITED for my work. The same changed could have been made while still giving proper credit to a pages original author. This is point. Gift cards and small amounts of cash are of little import to me. My motivation for creating several pages was to add to the body of work that supports my expertise in the fashion niche online.
1) The loyalty badges are being slowly rolled out. Sorry we can't make it quicker. If you've been a member for a year, you will be getting the 1 year badge.
2) We are working on a page Author/Contributor section on pages. It may still be a few months out because of some of the other major product that we are working on, but there are vocal people in the office and community asking for this, so it's on its way.

M$Thanks for the respons, Jammons. Will the Author/Contributor sections be applied to all pages? Or just those that have been created since the change or since the implementation of the section?
We'll apply them as retro-actively as possible. We haven't looked into details yet, and I'm not sure what sort of data trail we have for recreating contributor lists, so I can't make any promises. We will do our best to give credit to authors and contributors from before it's implemented.
This answer that it will be changed soon but will take a few months, was posted 8 months ago and still there is no credit (name of author) given on pages we have painstakingly created from scratch for Mahalo and now do not even get the courtesy of our names appearing somewhere on those pages- this is not ethical, not even the way of the online journalistic/writing community.
