Is a paleo diet the same thing as a vegan diet?

The paleo diet is not the same as a vegan diet. The paleo diet says that a person can eat all the fruits and vegetables a person wants with the exception of starches. This means no potatoes, corn or beans. Beans are a good part of a vegan diet as they provide lots of protein. A vegan does not eat any meat or animal products and that is where most people, including those on the paleo diet, get their protein. The paleo diet does not consume dairy products just like a vegan. As you can see there are similarities as well as differences. The vegan diet is considered good for fitness. Rarely are vegans overweight or have excessive body fat. Vegans are also more likely to take care of themselves in other ways besides diet and exercise is a big part of it. It has been said that because vegans do not get as much protein, they could not be pro athletes. This is definitely a misconception as pro-football player Tony Gonzales, Olympic track and field star Carl Lewis and pro cyclist Christine Vardaros are all at the top of their game and vegan to boot. The object of having a good vegan diet or any diet for that matter is to read up on everything about nutrition and keeping track of your body’s intake of all the necessary nutrients.
