It's difficult to say whether a Mercedes Benz or BMW coupe would be a better value, especially since they are very different brands. There are also multiple coupes offered by each company.
In my opinion, buying a car is a very emotional decision. While it's important to make sure to set a budget so you don't overspend, I still think it's best to avoid thinking about value and to just buy the car you really like. BMW is the sportier of the two brands. The Mercedes AMG models are also quite sporty, but I wouldn't call them a "good value."
If you want to pay the lowest price for a coupe, BMW has the 1-Series for under $30,000, and there isn't a comparable two door Mercedes in that range.
