Is a big truck or a light truck better for offroad 4x4?
The Ford 650 seems to do well, but how does it compete against a Toyota Tacoma or Tundra in offroad experience?

It depends on where your off-road adventures take you. These big trucks are great for the torque required to turn big tires, so they're good for mudding and driving off-road in fields. The drawback is that they are bigger and heavier than their light truck counterparts. The smaller Toyota trucks are great for off-roading in woods or other tight areas. They can be outfitted with bigger tires for different applications, like driving across glaciers, or going through deep snow, and many have swapped out the stock motors for something with more power.
