is 1921 a prime number?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

According to http://primes.utm.edu/lists/small/10000.txt it is not. You can prove it by dividing it by other primes up to its square root. If you try, you will find it divides evenly by 17.

The question was "Is 1921 a prime number?" My answer was "no." I think we are in agreement.

I don't understand why you responded with "No", the definition of a prime number is An integer p is called a prime number if the only positive integers that divide p are 1 and p itself. ( http://odin.mdacc.tmc.edu/~krc/numbers/prime.html ) since 1921 can be divided by 17, thus it is not a prime number.
