My niece who is 7 is coming over today. and she likes to play on the Ipod Touch I have. Can anyone reccomend games for her, she likes Barbie and all that stuff.
Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I probably have around the same game taste as a little girl, so here are some that I enjoy:

1. Crazy Penguin Catapult- hurl crazy penguins through the air to fend off polar bears. The lite version of this is free.

2. Christmas Fever- help little elves catch presents in the baskets by avoiding falling obstacles

3. Bug Bounce- I love this! avoid enemy bugs and obstacles by bouncing around the world. It has super cute graphics.

4. Sally's Salon- If she is into dress up, she would really like this one. It allows you to wash, dye, cut hair into different styles.

5. Balloonacy- You use your Touch to tilt and guide silly balloons through mazes.

6. Lemonade Stand- cute remake of the classic apple game. I love this one.

7. Christmas Swap- sort of like Tetris, only with cute christmas images. you match shapes to clear levels.

8. Whack It- For Kids- pretty self explanatory...animals are popping out of holes and you must whack them.

9. Eat Bunny Eat!- really cute and fun. you're a bunny and you must catch the carrots while avoiding other stuff.

10. Moo-Shake- mix and match animals to form new combinations and sounds.. cute graphics on this one as well.

Hope that helps!

Labyrinth, TowerSmash, Papijump, AstroTilt, Young Painter, Mokeyball, Scoops or Bubble Bash.

Of course none of these are considered gender specific but I think they would all be good and fun for a seven year old.

My kids are 6 and 8 and the games they ask to play on my iPod are the free versions of Labyrinth LE and ESPN Cameraman where you look for the differences between two photos. Neither of these fall into the category of 'little girl' games, but kids are kids and most love a good puzzle. Cheers. Have fun today.

My girls are 6 and 4, so they're a bit younger. I always keep on hand one of the many free "doodle" programs for them to play with (right now it is iDoodle2Lite, apologies for not having a link but I don't have iTunes on my work computer). They also still like the Jirbo games (there's a whole bunch of them), including JirboMatch. But I think at least the 6yr old is getting a little old for that.

Fall back plan? Load up on video podcasts - she can have plenty of fun using it as a little television, too. My kids do Sesame Street, Let's Go Show, Dora, Blue's Clues, and the Goodnight Show. Your mileage may vary, but certainly check out the Family/Kids category of video podcasts on iTunes.

I wish I could link directly to some of the stuff I mentioned, but even on the iTouch itself you can go to the App Store, Search, and download by name without having to go through iTunes at all.

Thanks for the info, very helpful. I will get the videos... I was thinking of getting a portable DVD Player that has inputs then stream movies to it.

MadShells!! The little girl I babysit for (7) cannot get enough of this game. So addicting. It's a little challenging towards the ends of the levels though. If not that, then Topple is really fun. The characters have funny faces and the music is enjoyable and not irritating. Plus, they're both free!

These look very fun. I will download them. and thanks for the free option. As it turned out I could not buy any apps because I lost my credit card and had to cancel it.

I really like the iPod Koi pond (try saying that five times fast!)

It's not a game so much as a screensaver thingie. It's simply fish in a pond with lilly pads. When you touch the iPod screen, you make waves that scare the fish. When you shake the iPod, it gives food to the fish which they snatch up.

It's very cool, and surprisingly mesmerizing for all ages and genders.

Edit: There's even a Holiday version!
