Iphone4... Droid... Droid X... HTC Droid Incredible... HTC Evo 4... compare/contrast, who are each of these phones made for in the market?
Bonus if you can discuss different apps that might help bridge the phone across different parts of the market.
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

M$If you are on AT&T and want to stay with them then the iPhone may be what you want. The Droids are all on Verizon. AT&T does have some Android phones but I can't speak to them.
The Droid X is currently one of the best Android phones on the market. This will not last as the Android market seems to change weekly. The X is a big phone with a great screen.
The Droid Incredible is the next in line with Verizon's Android phones. Again a great screen just a bit smaller than the X. Its been out for a few months so I would be too surprised if it is replaced by another phone by sometime say in January 2012.
The Droid 2 hasn't been release yet but its the replacement for the original Droid (1). It has a slide out keyboard that the X and the Incredible don't have.
All of these phones will be getting the latest version of Android (Froyo) sometime this month (August 2010). This version has lots of features for the enterprise so connecting them to an Exchange email server should be easier than before. Of course that all depends on it your company allows it. iPhones can connect to Exchange but I can't speak to how well. Best bet would be to talk with your IT staff. They should be able to tell you if either can connect to your corporate email.
As far as the apps are concerned most of the "best" apps are on both the iPhone and Android. Yes there are some that haven't made it yet to Android but you can bet most will. I would have said at the start of this year (2010) that if it was apps you were looking for then the iPhone was the best choice. Not now. They are about even. If you want the most polished and "cleanest" environment then you should go with the iPhone. Android market is more open than the Apple's so you tend to get apps that are a little on the "dirty" side. If you ignore them though the polish of Android phones are getting better every day.
iPhone for teens? Get them an iTouch instead. Its cheaper

M$I haven't seen anything where the manufacturers are trying to position themselves in a niche market. It is all about volume. The biggest difference at the moment seems to be the data plan and quality. If you want to stream video it will cost you and may not work especially in congested locations where AT&T has problems.
