CONTEST: Write a great blog post about any iPhone related story...

Can you write a great blog post about any story to do with the iPhone or iPhone applications?

It could be about news stories like the supposed "exploding iPhone" incidents, something about rumored new features like speech-to-text , app reviews, iPhone 3GS reviews, a comparison to competing devices like the Palm Pre, or anything else that is iPhone related.

Rules:

1) Write an interesting story about anything to do with iPhone on your blog.

2) Include a link to the Mahalo iPhone or iPhone Applications pages in your post

3) Tell us the headline of your story here and a give a link to the blog post in your answer to this question

4) You may write more than one story, every story gets a shot at prizes. They should all be interesting and not spammy though!

Optional:

If you're on Twitter, send me a tweet about the story. The tweet should look something like this:

@philipyana I prefer the Palm Pre to #iPhone! http://bit.ly/f5rWd

i.e. It's directed at me specifically, tells the headline of the blog article, includes the word iPhone or tag #iPhone in it, and has a link to the blog post, preferably made with a URL shortner like bit.ly.

Also if you feel like retweeting, digging and stumbling each other's answers, and commenting on each others blogs, all the better. :)

Winning the contest:

The winner will be the post that I think is the best post, taking into account how interesting the story is, and how well written it is. Just like picking a Mahalo Best Answer really.

Prizes:

1st: M$5 + team tips
2nd: M$3
3rd: M$1

We'll rethink if there aren't at least three decent answers, but I'm sure Mahaloians can do plenty more than that.

Here you go:

iPhone 3G with OS 3.0.... 3 weeks in

This was a little while ago... I'm overdue to make another post.... which I'll post here soon
Source(s):
http://my5minutebreak.blogspot.com/2009/07/iphone-3g-on-os-30-3-weeks-in.ht...

Asker's Rating:
• Fewer entries than I expected, but excellent quality from people that clearly know their stuff!

@snowplusbrd scoops the first prize for iPhone 3G with OS 3.0 ... 3 weeks in. It's well written, informative, witty and above all addresses questions that must be on any people's minds.

The feedback box is too small to comment in detail on all the winners, but @snowplusbrd also takes the second prize, while @smartweb and @tchachra share third spot and will get a Mahalo dollar apiece.

See comments for more info.

@snowplusbrd... nice post, but you need to link to the specific Mahalo pages I mentioned, not just any Mahalo iPhone related page.

Having said that, it should easy for you to update your post to link to the iPhone page, and a bunch of others too if you want to... iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS etc.

Great article @jeffhoard, and the widget looks fantastic on your blog.

The story isn't iPhone related per-se, more about this contest itself, so not sure whether to count it for the contest. I think probably I will, but maybe not for first prize as it's a great article but a little off-topic.

Ok.... My "blog" if you could call it that is only a few days old but here we go.

http://buddawiggi.blogspot.com/

~edit This was just my third post on my first attempt at ever having a blog. I wouldn't expect to see many results from my post.
Any advice on how to link my blog with others or get it out there somewhere would be greatly appreciated.

it is still an incoming link... and as your blog grows so will the weight search engines give it... your link is valuable - make no mistake about that.

@buddawiggi... I find it quite hard to figure out what the post if actually about. It seems to be an offbeat response to a news story, but I have not idea what that story was, and you didn't give us a link to it.

France? Ethiopia? iPhones? :)

Btw, probably best to post the permalink to the post not your blog's home page, as that will change.

$1.5 million in checks deposited via iPhone app

It seems the new cool thing is not even deal with the bank or atm to deposit your check anymore.

Its as simple as taking a photo of both sides of your check and wirelessly sending it to your USAA bank database and boom your check is deposited.

Awesome.
Cant wait till capital one has an app.
