If on-line time affects off-line relationships, it's too much. So there are days when my husband and kids aren't around, that I can spend 15 hours on-line (albeit most of it is working) and it's fine--but on other days 2 hours would be too much as there are off-line things that need attention.

too much would have to be the amount of time that i spend online daily about 10-12 hours a day. I still can't get off this damn thing.

I am a web developer at a startup, so I spend up to 18 hours a day online, and it doesn't seem too much! :) Although my expanding waistline and shrinking circle of friends might disagree...

I guess I realized that I was spending too much time online when that woman walked into my room. I stared at her wondering what she was doing in my house, and then I remembered, "Oh, yeah. She's my wife."
