I think it would be a CATastrophe!

These purrfectly innocent felines, who are the foundation of the internet as we know it (after porn, of course) will be without a job and have nothing to do!

It will be a sad day when all 'kitteh' communication comes to a stand still.

I'm not sure I can willingly participate in such a global annexation of lazy fur balls everywhere!

Cats all across the globe would look like poor Gus here. (tsk, tsk)

I hope that's a stock photo and not your cats, that's way too many. Then again, in my opinion, one is too many. ;)

The fluffy one on the left with the pink collar looks just like my King Kitty and the orange and white one at the twelve o'clock position looks just like my Lucky Kitty! We are talking EXACT MATCHES! Wow!

I have been celebrating a Day Without Cats every day for about a year now, since my stepmother's cat died. There are still corners of the house that stink; but, what a relief! They might be cute and furry but what a pain to live with. Cats belong in the wilds of wherever they came from not people's homes.

There are some specially brewed felines that you might like.

Besides the Newcastle Shorthair (pictured below), there is also the Hairless Bud Light, Long Hair Stout and the Manx Lager.

It would be just like a cat to drink my beer when I wasn't looking. Good thing steins have lids.

By the way, did you know that in German tradition the cat is the symbol of a hangover?

At first I thought that I would not, as I have nothing in particular against cats, I can take them or leave them. Upon further reflection, I considered what effect this might have on the kittys and I was immediately struck, with absolute certainty, that the cats won't give a flying fur-ball WHAT we do. So wouldn't it be rather pointless to boycott their entire species and get this reaction..."So?".

Let's boycott someone who might care, like maybe the people who believe the moon landing was a hoax.

The ubikitty of lolcats online clearly rubs some people's fur the wrong way, but I think this is a purrfect example of tilting at windmills. Cats have a certain ailure that is difficult to categorize, and Urlesque's attempt to eliminate the whole kitten caboodle from the Internet, even for one day, will be a catastrophic failure. I'm sure they're aware of this, though, and are simply using the campaign to try to catapult themselves to fame.

Personally, I won't go out searching for lolcats on 9/9, but I won't cough up a hairball if one crosses my path.

It looks like your typical viral gorilla marketing tactic angle to me. I think we're going to see more funny things like this pop up around the internet.

If it were up to me Id plaster cats all over the internet. Im not a mad crazy cat woman, although I do have two semi ferrals that live around my home and I feed them, I just think nothing makes me laugh more that seeing cats do the stupidest things.
If Im down they pick me up, if Im sad they bring tears of laughter to my eyes.
This is new and Im still giggling now with tears rolling down my face.

Trying to eliminate cats from the internet is like trying to lasso the wind. It can't be done. Good luck to the person who believes he or she has the power to control the enormously collosal populace of internet users. Sounds like a lot of determination bore from delusion.

No, I won't participate. I love cats.
