Recommend me a web-enabled, automated telephone advertising system that I can purchase for 2-months usage.

I have 10 products I wish to be able to give callers more information about, using short 1 to 2 minute messages on a telephone answering system.

I'd like people to be able to dial a phone number and get an answer that asks them to enter a code (or mailbox number) for the item they'd like more information. Example: press 1 gives a 1-2 minute advertising message with information about item #1, etc.

I need to rent/purchase this type of service for a period of 2 months for an advertising campaign. The phone number should preferably be a toll-free number.

I'm finding a lot of services that offer live receptionists, faxing, voice-to-text messaging, and other features which I don't need at all. I realize this is a very limited use that I need, but I'm having trouble finding a service that can do this. Multiple callers need to be able to call at the same time.

Ideally the system should be web-enabled so I can upload sound files of the 1-2 minute advertising messages, and swap in new messages as needed. I should have complete control of the system via the web if possible.

Does anyone know of any such system? Ideally such a system could be rented as a service for under $200 per month, without requiring a 1-year term of service. I need 2 months.

I use Grasshopper at my company. We can do stuff like this if we want. You get 20 mailboxes/extensions with each account (you can buy more if you want). There are plenty of options for voicemail and fax delivery. I'm not sure about being able to upload an audio file for the mailbox greetings/messages - I know you can for the hold music.

I think it about $50/month for up to 2000 minutes. Check their pricing. They are a month-to-month service.

The system is all controlled via the web.

If you are in the US be very mindful of the Do Not Call lists, it could be very easy to run afoul of this. Just for the record I would not trust "autocheckers" for accuracy.

Personally I listen to automated sales calls just long enough to find out what the product is so that I know NOT to buy it in the future. Tons of my friends do the same. This has been less of an issue since I signed up for do not call but every once in a while one slips through. This is the hidden risk of the system.

That being the case there are other better ways to reach people. Targeted adds through Magazine, Radio, and Website come to mind. (I did not mention TV as it is waaay over priced and people tend to walk away or ignore TV adds)

I know that wasn't the answer you were looking for, so I did still research it.

If you are still interested after reading the above:

http://autocallersystem.com/ May be what to look for.

Looks like $99 to set up $0.012 per call and $59.92 a month w/o a contract.

What are you looking to sell?

I didn't think the poster was looking for a service to cold call anyone - it was a number for people to dial in voluntarily. Otherwise, I would have answered much like you did. :)

Geekmiser is correct, I'm not looking for a system that calls anyone. To the contrary, people call the system, punch in a number, and listen to the information they requested.

Well, um that makes me feel sheepish. Dear Bugsi, never mind the anti-telemarketing rant at the beginning if that is the case.
