I need independent, third-party analysis of the top vendors for multivariate testing (as relates to web analytics).

I already have "Multivariate Testing and Site Optimization", published by JupiterResearch in 2006, but am looking for something more recent.

I can't find anything that is exactly what you want, i.e. a recent, in-depth, independent comparison of vendors for multivariate analysis for site optimization.

However the following resources may be helpful to you.

A buyers guide for web analytics (not specific to multivariate analysis):

Discussions of multivariate analysis and selected vendors:

econsultancy seems to be a firm that is interested in studying this market, so it may be worth contacting them to see if they have anything in the pipeline that's not on their website yet.

It seems SAS has entered the Web Analytics market fairly recently. They are probabably worth looking into as SAS is the mother of all statistical analysis and forecasting tools. It may not be in your budget, but was always in the armoury of big corporations, medical researchers, scientists etc for their data analysis.

Btw, there another report available from econsulting that looks relevant:

You have to become a member to get access to that though.

He's not looking for a vendor recommendation, he's looking for a study that evaluates vendors. And he's already paid big bucks to get one from Jupiter Research, but wants a more up to date one.
