No, it won't be as successful as the Aeron chair.
The Aeron chair created such a hot buzz in offices throughout the world that it became instantly cool to have one.
Many offices even purchased hundreds of the chairs to attract employees and update their style.
There was somewhat of a frenzy around the Aeron chair and even today, it's still known as one of the best office chairs available. The unique style and features make it recognizable and noteworthy in an office, even today.
While the new chair will no doubt be a welcome addition to many executive offices and posh home offices, the public has not created the same buzz or affinities for the revision.
While there are many discernable differences between this and the previous generation, there simply aren't enough advantages.
The Aeron chair was a revolution and this follow up is an improvement, but not revolutionary.

Now take a look at the current situation most companies are in. There is very little chance that a company will be willing to spend that kind of money to buy chairs (even if they have the money to do so the PR hell that would come from spending that kind of money on chairs right now would not be worth it)

The chance of the Embody being as popular as the Aeron is rather slim. The big reason I say this is the economic climate... When the Aeron was first introduced it was the hay day of the internet bubble. There were hundreds of internet startups with cash burning holes in their pockets so they could easily go out and spend thousands on a chair. Now take a look at the current situation most companies are in. There is very little chance that a company will be willing to spend that kind of money to buy chairs (even if they have the money to do so the PR hell that would come from spending that kind of money on chairs right now would not be worth it)
